Sterling's birthday

For Sterling's birthday party this year he decided he wanted to do a sleep over. Nothing extravagant, just him and his friends, pizza, popcorn and movies. Out of the 5 kids he invited, 3 were able to come. We ordered CiCi's pizza and rented Aliens in the Attic for them to watch. Sterling also chose to have a christmas tree cake this year. And yes, I actually made it! But all I did was frost it green, then bought some candy and sprinkles for the kids to decorate it with. I should have known better!

Everything ended up dumped on top of the cake! :-) Talk about a sugar rush! After presents and cake the boys set up camp in the TV room and watched movies until 11:00pm at which point we forced them to go to bed. In the morning we had french toast and scrambled eggs for breakfast and the boys played until parents came to get them. It was by far one of the easiest birthday parties I have ever done! And Sterling loved it! HAPPY BIRTHDAY STERLING! We are so proud to have you as our oldest son!

Quick Update

I had my first appointment today. Although they couldn't find the heartbeat, which kind of freaked me out, I was able to have another ultrasound to make sure everything was ok. Sure enough, baby was there just wiggling around being very active. The hear rate was 162 bpm. In addition, my due date has been officially set for July 2, 2010. I know, it keeps being changed, but this will be the last time!! Here is baby bidwell waving "hi"!

Emmy's Birthday

For Emmy's birthday we opted not to do a party this year. Instead we decided that I would take her and one of her friends to go see Disney On Ice. It was a hit for both girls. I must say that even I was entertained! Imagine trying to ice skate in some of the larger costumes. Amazing!

Obviously there was a lot more than that but those were the few pictures I took. Fun stuff...and it brought back memories of our Disney World trip a couple years ago. In addition to Disney on Ice my mom and sister came up the next day and we had Emmy's cake. I admit that I have been quite the slacker this year when it comes to cakes. My mom made Cori's and I'm embarassed to admit that I let Rob BUY a cake for Emmy. My only defense is that I have felt so sick that baking and decorating has not been at the top of my list. Oh well, there goes my mother of the year award. Nevertheless, Rob picked out a cute cake and Emmy loved it. Plus it tasted good, so what more could we have asked for?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMY! We're so glad that you are our little Princess!
