Kai-Dot

LOL! Cute title huh? In case you don't know Dot is a nickname for Dorothy and one of Kailyn's dresses looks similair to Dorothy's from the Wizard of Oz. So I dressed her in it, put on her ruby red slippers (that are a couple sizes too big) and borrowed "Toto" from Sterling. Waa-La We have Kai-Dot! (also ironic cause Rob works at KDOT) HAHAHAHA! SOOO stinkin' funny!

I also took a couple pictures of Kai and Emmy together in their blue dresses. It's as close to matching as we can get. :-)

Rollin' with Sterling, Emmy and Joe

We rolled with Kailyn, now we get to roll with the three older kiddos. Sterling and Joe went roller skating for the first time today, and Emmy went for the second time. A friend from church invited them to his roller skating birthday party. They seemed to have a lot of fun, but Joe didn't last too long before he wanted his skates off. We switched his from regular skates to the Fisher Price learning kind. They don't "roll" as much so he was able to stay upright much better. Though he did still fall some. Sterling was going pretty fast by the time we had to leave and Emmy- well she's a natural. She LOVES to skate and never wants to leave when it's time. Sterling got to the point that he was able to go around the rink and only fall 4 times! Amazing huh!? Kailyn came too, but didn't skate...go figure. She did however, sleep, and be cute. Fun Fun Fun! Sterling and Emmy can't wait to go again...Joe can take it or leave it.

Shooting Kailyn

So, that isn't as bad as it sounds. You see, Kailyn had her first real professional photo shoot yesterday. My friend, Traci Osborn, kindly took photos of Kailyn for me. Traci is a professional photographer, artist and illustrator and she is incredibly good at what she does. The pictures she took were just amzing and soooooo cute. I don't know how many she took originally, but we narrowed it down to 158 so they would all fit on one CD! So out of aaaalll of those here a just of few of the ones I loved (trust me, I'd post all 158 if I could they were soooo cute!) Thanks so much Traci! I love them!

Family and a wedding

Such a busy week and a half! We were so lucky to have John and Clara, Abbi, Jake and Isaac and Allen and Megan come to visit. We had so much fun with them all here. Even though my kids had just had a week off of school for spring break I pulled them out of school for 3 more days just to spend time with their Aunts, Uncles and cousins. All the sisters-in-law went out for lunch on the Saturday before the wedding and talked and ate and just generally had fun. Unfortunately for Clara, the napkins were paper so she had nothing to steal :-( Poor Clara! On Sunday of course we had Kailyn's blessing which everyone came up for. Following that we had dinner (my famous Cheesy Ham and Potato soup). I just love my family! They are soooo much fun and they make me laugh. My brothers have married incredible women who I am honored to call sisters. The kids had fun running around together, playing. Of course the biggest event was Jordan's wedding on Saturday, March 28th. Before that we spent time figuring out food, decorations and music. While John was putting together a playlist for the wedding Abbi and Joe decided to entertain us with their version of "Dancing with the Stars"

Aren't they adorable?! As soon as I get some I will post pictures of the wedding. Emmy and Abbi were the flower girls and Sterling and Jake were the ring bearers. Jordan and Blake were gorgeous together. I know my dad would be proud of his little girl and her wonderful husband. I could not have picked a better husband for her. We just love Blake. He is a wonderful, caring man. We are so proud of you Jordan! Welcome (officially) to the family Blake. You are just like a brother.

Here are some pics from that week:
